Colouring The Mission

CityLite is the kid’s ministry at CityHill London. We have a very specific mission as a church.

Lighting up our world so that people far from God can find life in Christ.

Jemilea, one of the members at CityHill came to me (Pastor Andy) and said she had a dream. It was a colouring book for children to explore the mission of CityHill. For the family to gather around the mission with the kids and work out how they can live it out more fully.

Our missing is our unique expression, but it comes from Matthew 5.

Matthew 5:14-16

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

We created this colouring book for kids to go page by page colouring in with their family, wrestling with the questions Jesus’ words raise. To be able to explore creative ideas as a family to live it out.

We had the colouring books professionally printed out, and we give them to families who attend CityHill London. Not as a time filler for the kids to do in the service. We give them for the kids to take home with them, so they can explore who we are as a church and the mission we are on together, as a family at home.
